Snoop Dogg Back to Movies

Controversial rapper Snoop Dogg is back in a movie role, at least for an episode. He just filmed a role for “Entourage”, a production signed by HBO. The MC admitted in an interview that he is a fun of the program and that he also had something of a secret reason to be on the show. He said that:
“That’s a great show. I’m glad they had me do that. I love good TV. HBO is doing their thing with Entourage and The Wire and Sopranos. They called me to be a part and I used that as leverage to try and be on The Wire.
“That’s a great show,” he explained. “I’m glad they had me do that. I love good TV. HBO is doing their thing with ‘Entourage’ and ‘The Wire’ and ‘Sopranos.’ You know how I get down. I’m trying to get in the system. I’m the type of person that if I love something, I’mma say it. If you an artist and you fly, I’mma tell you, ‘Yo homie, I like what you do. You fly, you off the hook. Can I get with you?’ That’s how I was with ‘Entourage,’ that’s how I am with ‘The Wire.’ They ain’t call me yet. They just using my name in there.”
In “Entourage” Snoop will play himself and the episode is due to appear in July. If he gets to star in “The Wire” or not is still unknown but given the fact that he publicly said he would love that the possibility should seem interesting for HBO. Imagine a conversation between Snoop Dogg and the Snoop character from “The Wire”. That has some potential!
