Variety is reporting that HBO is working with Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis on a series based on his fascinating rock n roll childhood. At a young age, the rocker left Michigan to live in West Hollywood with his drug dealer dad Spider. Daddy Kiedis was supposedly the drug man for bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin. The series will focus on Kiedis’ relationship with his dad and life in rock n roll LA back in the 70s. The RHCP singer plans to be heavily involved in the project and is regularly chatting with his father to record memories of their life. Anthony said “I love mulling over all this raw material. (My father’s) into it too. He sees it as our last great hurray. For us to be reconnecting to construct these memories — the women and the rock bands and the doormen of these clubs — is exciting.”
