Michael Jackson is Still on Top

Michael Jackson’s albums are still continuing to run over the competition! According to SoundScan, 1.1 million of the King of Pop’s albums were sold in the US in the past sales week. Interestingly enough, the sales actually had a boost of 37% from the week prior. Here’s another fun fact: in the two and a half weeks after the passing of the iconic singer, 2.3 million of Michael’s albums have been purchased in America alone. Just think of the bigger number when you account for worldwide sales. That’s utterly amazing! I just find it a bit bittersweet that he had to pass away before we truly appreciated him.
