Since being recently released from his contract with RCA, Clay Aiken has finally found a new home. The singer’s new label, Decca, confirmed the news to several media outlets and released a statement saying “Clay Aiken signs record deal with Universal Music’s Decca Records. Expect an album in the first half of 2010. Keep checking back for more details to come.” I wonder if a new sound to the American Idol alum’s music is what comes with his new record label. Will we still be hearing the old Clay with all of his ballads or will he change it up even just a bit?

  1. You have not heard any of Clay Aiken’s albums, apparently, or you would not say he only sings ballads. You also report that he was released from his contract with RCA. The accurate report would be that he fulfilled his 5 CD contract and chose not to re-sign with RCA because they have under promoted him and he was not satisfied with them.

  2. Clay Aiken has an amazing, expressive voice and sings ballads better than anyone alive. That being said, that is not all he sings. I would suggest getting his latest CD, “On My Way Here”, and giving it a try.
