Sir Paul McCartney’s son James is honouring his famous dad’s legacy with his new band The Light.
James, 32, plays in the group with two band members from the Liverpool suburb of Allerton where his dad lived as a child.
James performs live with a Fender Stratocaster guitar that his dad gave to him.
Speaking about the four-person band, he said: “I have been playing music since I was nine and writing along the way.
“I met my band about a year ago. Producer David Kahne introduced us and my dad helped. I am currently recording an album. The music was inspired by The Beatles, Nirvana, The Cure, PJ Harvey, Radiohead and all good music.”
