The American Idol airplay chart is the perfect battleground for all of Simon Cowell’s little minions. There they can show off their stuff and prove which one is the best of the whole American Idol litter. Kelly Clarkson is so far reigning queen, but it looks like Kris Allen is getting closer and closer to the spot and it doesn’t look good for her. Adam Lambert is also climbing up the charts and he may yet get a chance to pay Kris Allen back for the last season of the show… even though he still has a quite some ground to cover. How proud the Earl of Exigency must be to see them all do battle so well!

It seems that after getting dragged through the mud several times by ABC, Adam Lambert’s patience might actually pay off. It seems Adam Lambert might be getting a show from Oprah Winfrey. This is the message that could be read on her site: “Calling ALL Adam Lambert Fans!!! Did you vote for him as many times as you could? Were you holding your breath when the new American Idol was announed, hoping and praying it would be HIM? If you are a HUGE fan of Adam Lambert’s, email us now and tell us why you want to be in the audience for this once-in-a-lifetime show.” He who laughs last laughs the best, eh? Looks like Adam Lambert is going to get what’s coming to him and something extra too.

The most recent American Idol star has finally released the full info on his upcoming album “For your entertainment”. It seems Adam Lambert has gathered quite the number of performers for his release, people such as Lady GaGa, Pink and also American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. Did he manage to lure them in all by himself, or did he have some help from Simon Cowell one must wonder. Either way, it looks like Adam Lambert is on the sure fire road to commercial success: big names, glittering stars and a Simon Cowell-show training. The future looks bright for this lad!

In an attempt to drum up more press, the label head responsible for releasing Adam Lambert’s old recordings is speaking out. John Hecker, CEO of Hi Fi Recordings claims that the American Idol runner up co-wrote the tracks on his album ‘On with the Show’ which the label plans to release this summer. Adam said he was only hired as a studio singer. Hecker told Billboard another story though saying “The music’s amazing. There are some up tempo [songs], there’s some that rock a little more, and there are some songs on the same tip as Want. It’s a real album that’s coming out, not just a conglomerate of a bunch of songs. This is all original material — as a matter of fact, Adam wrote a lot of it.” Interesting.

On a recent interview, Rob Zombie talked about a couple of rock stars including this year’s American Idol runner up Adam Lambert. “I’m sure Adam can fuking sing 10 times better than Mick Jagger, but who gives a shit? He ain’t fucking Mick Jagger. You know what I mean? There are probably a million guitar players in the world better than Keith Richards, but they ain’t fucking Keith Richards!” I think that there’s a compliment in there. I’m just not sure what it really is. But how cool is it that Rob Zombie knows who Adam is? I wonder what Adam thinks of the rock icon’s comments.

Nearly two weeks may have passed since the announcement of this year’s American Idol but not having Adam Lambert announced as the winner still has a lot of people talking. Sources at the show say that the margin between Kris Allen and his runner up wasn’t even close. And the biggest factor that they attribute that margin to was Danny Gokey. Apparently, the so-called lion’s share of Danny’s votes went to Kris. The extent of the margin surprised a lot of the execs on the show. The exact number of votes won’t be revealed but sources say that the AT&T scandal had no impact on the outcome as the spread was that wide. Wow!

Kris Allen was called the dark horse of the competition and was clearly the underdog, but in the greatest upset in American Idol history since Chris Daughtry was eliminated, Kris Allen was named as season 8’s winner. When everyone from the judges to the producers to even Kris Allen himself thought that Adam Lambert was going to win, being announced as the winner was a big shock. I was rooting for Kris Allen to win but I was still shocked when he was announced as the winner. I was already thinking that there was a landslide vote for Adam Lambert. It goes to show that you really can’t underestimate the power of a fans.

It’s the American Idol performance night finale and the final two are performing their favorite performance of the whole season. Adam Lambert chose to sing ‘Mad World’. Kris Allen chose to sing ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’. The competition is pretty much over and it’s up to the fans to decide who wins so the judges were really just there to talk about how proud they were of the contestants’ whole journey. Don’t put Simon Cowell in the same category as the other three though. He clearly showed his love for Kris that night saying that Kris has won the first round of the finale.

Last week, the American Idol final three were given the chance to go home for a while and receive their hero’s welcome in their hometowns. During last night’s show, Ryan Seacrest mentioned that it was the biggest turn out in the show’s history. It goes to show how popular the contestants are with the audience. So popular that some of the fans actually bum rush the stage. During the opening of last night’s show, Ryan mentioned how a fan bum rushed the stage when Adam Lambert was performing. The video is actually online already but we can all get a glimpse at what happened when they went on their trips at tonight’s results show. Who do you think will make up the finale?

American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta was given a reason to be a cry baby when she was the latest contestant to be booted off of the show. After all of the comments made on performance night, it was pretty surprising to see Kris Allen be the first to be sent to safety, followed by Adam Lambert and then Danny Gokey. Allison took her dismissal in stride though, belting out an energized reprise of Janis Joplin’s ‘Cry Baby’. Host Ryan Seacrest seems to be a big fan of the girl telling her before the show’s end “I’ll be playing you on the radio real soon.” The remaining 3 contestants will travel to their hometowns this week before performing 2 songs next week – 1 of their choosing and another from the judges.

The American Idol Top 4 contestant are: Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey
The American Idol Final Four has been revealed after another elimination night on the show last night. During the performance night, Idol judge Simon Cowell raved about Matt Giraud’s performance which made Kris Allen or Allison Iraheta as the ones to potentially get the ax. If you base it on the voting pattern, if Matt was deemed safe, it would have been Allison to go home. Surprisingly enough, the bottom three turned out to be Kris, Matt and Adam Lambert! I’m sure everyone’s jaw dropped at hearing Adam’s name called out. Who got eliminated wasn’t much of a surprise though as Matt got the boot. He is the first contestant to get eliminated three times – first on the semis, second on the historical one-time judges’ save and finally, last night.

The American Idol talent search is headed for a head-on as the Top 5 was revealed last week. The lucky and tough remaining contenders are Adam Lambert, Matt Giraud, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen. Out of the five only two will remain for the May 19 finale and a face-to-face battle. A constant favorite is Lambert Adam so a lot of viewers are betting him to be on the Top 2. But who’s the other guy or gal?

Judge Simon Cowell said for sure it is going to be Lamber Adam and somebody and he is putting his money on Danny Gokey as the one who will face Lambert Adam for the finale. Simon Cowell said Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert are the best singers among the group and that is what would happen at the end of the day. This year’s American Idol finale is guaranteed to be a lot more different considering that it has a fourth judge in the person of Kara DioGuardi who according to Simon Cowell is a great songwriter. The winning American Idol contestant gets to record a song and Kara DioGuardi, who has written song for American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, is in the running as the songwriter for the winning contestant.

Or so he may want everyone to think. The American Idol contestant went for Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild” track as his weapon of choice, but he gave it a different arrangement. It worked for the most part, but Adam Lambert showed off a bit at the end and that might have lost him some points, even though the studio audience was supposedly going wild. Paula said that Adam Lambert “dares to dance in the path of greatness”, but Simon Cowell remained skeptical as always saying: “I think you’ve got to learn how to express yourself.” Then he went on about how last night’s performance might not be viewed with the same amount of passionate eyes as last week’s. Adam Lambert was probably lacking in elaborate metaphors with which to better express himself.

After his questionable performance of “Ring of Fire” from last week, Adam Lambert really blew the judges’ minds on “American Idol” last night with his rendition of “The tracks of my tears”. He even managed to impress Smokey Robinson himself with his performance. As always, daddy-Cowell had the last thing to say and what he said about Adam Lambert’s performance can probably be called shocking: “It was the best performance of the night.” Looks like Adam Lambert’s position is assured now… fame, fortune and a record deal perhaps await.
