Why do I not live in Brazil, or at least have the time and money to travel to Rio de Janeiro? Lucky concertgoers got to watch Maroon 5 play a mini concert at the Rock in Rio music festival this past Saturday. I’m not sure that the rock band deserved the main stage status but I have to say that they did not disappoint when given the opportunity. It was a very interactive and energetic show. Among the songs they performed were “Moves Like Jagger”, “This Love” and “She Will Be Loved”. Seriously, why couldn’t I have been there live?

Adam Levine slammed MTV in a Twitter outburst this weekend, dissing the network’s Video Music Awards. The Maroon 5 lead singer said “The VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. [expletive] you VMA’s.” MTV made light of Adam’s slap down, inviting him to tune into the ceremony in a follow-up tweet, but the rock star was not amused and defended his bluntness. Adam tweeted “I may be a pop singer. but every once in a while the angsty teenager in me just blurts out some raw honesty. it’s a reflex.”

I think the biggest shocker for the 2-hour long live show of The Voice last night was when Blake Shelton chose to save Xenia. In my opinion Jared Thomas was the one to beat and the only rock star on the show. I had huge doubts about Blake leading his team and they’ve been justified. If he thinks he can help her more than he can Jared, he’s got another thing coming. Xenia will just be eaten alive in the cutthroat world of the music industry. I have nothing bad to say about Christina Aguilera’s choice of saving Frenchie Davis. It was a good move. As for the performances, I originally thought that this week’s show would be better than last week with Adam Levine’s and Cee-Lo Green’s teams taking the stage but I wasn’t at all impressed by their coaching or song choices, save for Vicci Martinez’s “Jolene” and Javier Colon’s “Angel”. Coaching wise, Adam and Cee-Lo need to step it up. For the show as a whole – worst episode to date.

During a recent interview for the prestigious People Magazine, Maroon 5’s front man, Adam Levine, has discussed the possibility of having a solo career. This is what Adam Levine said on the matter: “NEVER! I don’t want to be a solo artist. It’s nerdy.” Well it certainly seems that he’s made this matter pretty clear. But one must see Adam Levine’s side of it. What point would there be for him to have a solo career when Maroon 5 are doing so well in current times. When the ship starts to sink, that’s when Adam Levine might find a solo career to be less nerdy.

If you ever wanted to get in Adam Levine’s bed, here’s your chance. The Maroon 5 singer won’t be there though. The musician is going all Craigslist with his Hollywood Hills home by trying to find a high-end renter for the place. The three bedroom, three bath place is just over 2,000 square feet, has a great view and includes a guest house equipped with its own bedroom and bathroom, a theatre, an awesome pool and a cow skin rug. PETA might get mad at that. But if you’re not worried about that, all of it can be yours for a mere $10,000 a month.

Adam Levine chats up Maroon 5’s re-release of their album ‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’ on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday at New York City’s Bryant Park. If you saw that show and had a good look at Adam, then I’m sure you had a great morning. He and the rest of his band mates also took the stage to perform ‘If I Never See Your Face Again’ and ‘She Will Be Loved’. I wonder if they’re going to tour in support of this album or if they’re just going to take a break or if they’re going into the studio to make new material.

Adam Levine Loves Karaoke

Celebrities are just like us regular people, except they’re a lot richer and in some cases, like Adam Levine’s, with a worse haircut. But just like us regular people, the Maroon 5 singer loves to get his karaoke going when he’s not busy touring the globe.

The tattooed rocker was spotted rocking it out at famous sing-a-long bar Brass Monkey in LA on Wednesday night. It also happens to be a favorite of Courtney Cox’s. Adam sang Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’. One of the regulars also said that Levine and the rest of his band come in quite often.

Adam Levine Says Goodnight

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine was spotted grabbing some dinner at Japanese restaurant Katsuya in Hollywood on Wednesday. He was seen with a female friend who was not his girlfriend Rebecca Ginos. He’s not cheating though. She was actually a PR pal that Adam shares with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Maroon 5 is going to be busy in the next couple of weeks. They will be doing a slew of appearances to promote ‘Goodnight Goodnight’, the fourth single released from their album ‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’. A video is also in the works for the song and it will be helmed by director Marc Webb.
