After his Tuesday arrest for possession of marijuana, Baby “Birdman” Williams decided to talk to MTV News about what really went down.

Police reported that they had recovered over a pound of pot on the RV that Williams and 15 other passengers were traveling in. He says it wasn’t like that; “We got charged for a misdemeanor amount – we didn’t have no pound.” Yeah, since the amount really makes the fact that you were charged with marijuana possession SO much better.

He also disputes the gun charges. He says that everyone carrying weapon is licensed to do so. “The guns we had were good. I do carry a gun and I am licensed. Tennessee is one of the states I can tote in.”

He is also up in arms about another reported misprint that has sparked rumors around the net. He maintains his bachelorhood, saying, “I’m not married. Never! Been! Married! Plus, that girl was 18! I don’t get down like that! Plus, if I was married, why would I keep it a secret?” So, ladies, he’s back on the market.

Whatever happens, he is due back in court March 18 to figure out what is going to happen. Until then, he’ll continue to promote his new album, 5 Star G.
