American band Blink 182 has posted online the second single, ‘After Midnight’, from the upcoming album, entitled ‘Neighborhoods’.

Blink 182 released online the band’s newest single, ‘After Midnight’, announces Nme.com. The song could be heard for the first time Tuesday, 6th September, during Zane Lowe’s show on BBC Radio 1.
‘After Midnight’ is the third song revealed from the future material, the band’s album, ‘Neighborhoods’, after the single “Up All Night’ and ‘Heart’s All Gone’.
The song ‘After Midnight’ reminds us of the album ‘Blink 182′ released in 2003.
The album ‘Neighborhoods’ is the seventh album in the history of the band Blink 182 and will be released on 27th of September.

New Video from Blink 182

Blink 182 recently premiered the music video for their comeback single “Up All Night” via VEVO. The track is the first single off of the rock band’s upcoming sixth studio album “Neighborhoods”, which is set to hit stores in the US on September 27th. Personally, I like the song. Blink 182 kept their trademark guitar riffs and unpredictable productions but the lyrics are more mature, which pretty much says that they have indeed grown up. Sadly, people aren’t responding well to the song. I guess everyone was expecting for them to be perennially childish. As for the video, it’s very Blink 182 but with a darker background. I like it! I hope more people back them up. I really love the direction they’re going.

Blink-182 – “Up All Night” video

Blink-182 are back after a long break with a clip for the song “Up All Night.”
After a long break made in 2005, since when the guys from Blink-182 did not make any new clips, they returns with a material for the song “Up All Night.”
What is special is that this video is different, it is actually made of many videos made by fans along the years.
And if you were thinking that the images are only of the band, you are wrong. Blink-182 wanted this video-montage to include as many movies of fans as possible.
So you will see a lot of young people who skateboard or bike jumping, dancing, playing various instruments, or do stop motion.
Clips were chosen from a series of many proposals submitted, and the selection was made by the band.
“This time I wanted to try something different,” said Mark Hoppus.

Blink 182 have returned! Listen to their new single ‘Up All Night’!

Blink-182 stormed the charts in 1999 with the album “Enema Of The State” and the single “What’s My Name Again”, but after three more albums, the boys decided to take a break. Meanwhile, drummer Travis Barker has worked with almost everyone for his solo album, Give The Drummer Some, and now Travis decided to resume cooperation with his former colleagues and recorded their first song together after a break of more than 6 years. Blink-182 has already announced that there will be an album and tour this year, so if you were fan of the band, you have every reason to celebrate. That’s in case the band’s new sound will be to your liking, because the three guys have gone from pop-punk sound to a style a little bit harder with this first single. New Song from Blink 182 – Up All Night

Blink 182 is officially back! Check out the premiere of the long-awaited comeback single from the rock band called “Up All Night”, which the guys unveiled via their official website earlier today. Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker return with a more mature lyrical content while still keeping their signature sound. Those are some crazy guitar riffs and Travis is sick on the drums! It may not be your typical radio-friendly pop/punk Blink 182 music but it’s good too and I like it. Bands have to evolve in some way and show something different as time passes after all.

New Blink 182 Coming This Summer

Travis Barker recently went on his Twitter to announce that not only is he releasing a solo album very soon, but that after a long hiatus, his former band Blink 182, also have some new music on the way. And if you’re a fan of the rock group, you don’t have to wait too long as their new album is set to drop this summer. Travis said “For those of you asking GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME is out March 15th and BLINK album is out THIS SUMMER!” I can’t wait to hear how their sound has evolved since their last record. I wonder when they’re planning to get a single out.

It looks like this year is going to be packed with new releases. Travis Barker, Blink-182’s drummer, recently tweeted about his own upcoming solo album, but also the upcoming album of the band. This is what he wrote on the matter: “For those of you asking GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME is out March 15th and BLINK album is out THIS SUMMER!” Well it’s about time Blink-182 came out with a new record for their fans to spin. It’s been what… eight years since the last one? Hopefully the band have channeled all of this time into some serious creative work and the wait will have been worth it.

Blink-182 is getting something ready

It was probably about freaking time too since it’s been seven years since their last album. Now Blink-182 is apparently getting ready to release a new one… somewhere in the future. This is what Mark Hoppus had to say on the matter: “We’ve gone through a lot of really heavy stuff over the past few years. … There’s plenty of heavy stuff to write about. I think in moments it will be dark. We’re still just barely getting into the whole writing process. We have about three or four songs done. I wouldn’t say it’s going to be a dark record; I think it’s really an expansive record. There’s stuff that sounds like what we were doing on the last Blink record, and there’s stuff that sounds like what we were doing 10 years ago and stuff that we’ve never done before.” Sure sounds like recycling… except for the stuff they haven’t done before. Those will probably be covers. Well, hopefully that’s not all Blink-182 will have to offer.

Pete Wentz teams up with Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus for track for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland

Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz has teamed up with Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus for a track for Tim Burton’s upcoming flick Alice In Wonderland.

Wentz, 30, and Hoppus, 37, recently tweeted messages on social networking site Twitter talking about songs they have worked on.

Wentz has since confirmed that the pair of them have recorded a song for the soundtrack to Disney’s new Alice In Wonderland flick.

He said: “We did a song for Alice in Wonderland, [and we] might do a few more depending on when [Mark] goes in with Blink. [It] sounds nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy.

“Mark understands songwriting on a completely different level. It’s awesome to have a chance to sit in a room with him and watch him work out a melody.”

Blink 182 Makes Generous Donation

Blink 182 has announced that $100,000 of the proceeds from their show in Phoenix, Arizona last Saturday night will be donated to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia as well as the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, California. According to the press release from the band, the donation is “being made in recognition of their tremendous care and aid of Travis Barker through his recovery from the 2008 plane crash.” The band is hoping that their generous donation will “help these burn centers continue their lifesaving work.” You do something good and you soon reap the rewards.

Travis Barker struggles through gig after death of DJ AM

Devastated Travis Barker struggled through a gig the night after his friend DJ AM was found dead.

The drummer was teary-eyed and held his head in his hands after performing with his band Blink-182 in Connecticut.

The band held a moment of silence to honour DJ AM – real name Adam Goldstein – and dimmed the lights.

“This night is really hard for us on stage,” bassist Mark Hoppus told fans. “We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a dear friend.”

Virgin Music Fest is Free

There are perks that come with a crashing economy. The annual Virgin Music Festival in Maryland has now turned into the Virgin Mobile Free Fest because the huge event will now be completely free. In a statement made by the founder and president of the Virgin Group, Richard Branson said “In a time of economic challenges and daily sacrifices, we wanted to throw a fantastic party so people could let loose and have a great time – on us.” The line up for the August 30 show includes Franz Ferdinand, Weezer and Blink 182. It’s not as stellar as previous line ups which included Kanye West and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But then again, it’s still a free show.

Travis Barker in a Sling

Travis Barker was a presenter at the 2009 Grammy Awards this past Sunday along with his Blink 182 band mates. Many of you should have noticed that the drummer was wearing a sling on his arm. Travis opened up to TV’s Extra backstage about it saying “I kind of rushed out of the hospital and my hand was numb, but I didn’t tell anybody. I just wanted to get out. The numbness didn’t go away. It was like in four or five of my fingers. I really wanted to fix it as soon as possible. I had bad nerve damage, so I just got surgery. I have eight to ten weeks to recover.”

Blink 182’s Almost Reunion

Here’s some interesting news for whatever is left of Blink 182 fans. The trio is scheduled to present at Sunday’s Grammy Awards show. They are not going to be performing though. However, the fact that they’re all going to be together on the same stage signals to me that the guys are seriously considering a reunion tour. Maybe all that talk about it not happening was just to throw everyone off of the plans. I think they should do a reunion tour. They may not have been the greatest band ever but they were a lot of fun to listen to and watch.
