It looks like some people need to keep their stuff under lock and key and someone got a copy of the unfinished music video for Chris Brown and Justin Bieber’s collaboration “Next 2 You”, and decided to leak it. The Messengers-produced mid tempo track is the latest single from Chris’s latest album “FAME”. As for the Collin Tiley-directed visual, it looks pretty epic. I like it – and that’s saying a lot for not being a Bieber fan. I’m actually looking forward to seeing the HQ version. I’m also pretty sure that the track is destined for top 10 success. I wonder if these two are planning to promote the track and perform together live.

The debut solo single by Joe Jonas, which will be released in June, has finally been revealed. While there aren’t any leaks of the actual song out yet, reports are saying that the singer’s first single is supposed to be a techno-pop tune and features R&B star Chris Brown. Joe will be premiering the single on radio on June 3rd. The track, which is called “See No More”, was co-written by Joe and Chris and was produced by Brian Kennedy. Do any of you have any predictions for how good or bad Joe’s first solo single is going to be?

American hip hop artist Big Sean recently premiered the music video for his song “My Last” via VEVO. The song, which features R&B singer Chris Brown, is the first single from Big Sean’s upcoming debut album “Finally Famous: The Album”, which is slated to hit stores on May 3rd. The song leaked in its demo version late last year with the final edit being released last month. Chris’ addition to the chorus made the song more interesting for me. It’s a solid track and it’s proven that by debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 at #89 and on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs at #43, without any real promotion. As for the video, it wasn’t anything ground breaking but it served its purpose.

Despite all the bad press that he’s gotten recently, Chris Brown is still doing pretty well for himself. The R&B singer is still confirmed for Dancing with the Stars, he was invited back to Good Morning America and now, it’s being said that he’s leading the way in album charts with sales in the 250,000-275,000 range for his new album “FAME”. So far, his album holds the runner up spot to Adele. Jennifer Hudson couldn’t even come close to Chris with her new album “I Remember Me” hitting 150,000-175,000 in sales. It’s not that bad but considering I find her more likeable, I wonder if people are glorifying Chris too much.
Ever since the track list for Chris Brown’s upcoming album “FAME”, which comes out on March 22, was revealed, everyone’s been anticipating a listen to the collaboration between the R&B singer and pop sensation Justin Bieber called “Next to You”. There’s no doubt that the track will receive a lot of attention on the internet with the help of Justin’s fans. It would be an incredibly smart move if Chris decides to release the song as a single at some point. I think it would head to the top spot of the charts pretty quickly. It’s not the best song but the adlibs certainly make it interesting.

The singer seems to be gripping on his second chance for a career very tightly. Thus he has released another new song called “Beautiful People”. Coincidentally, or so one hopes, Chris Brown’s new song bears the same name as an older song of Marilyn Manson’s, but the similarities stop here. If anything, they’re quite opposite since Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” is a rather optimistic and dance/club-like song. It might just reflect the singer’s mood. If that’s the case it looks like a really sturdy wave of optimism has hit Chris Brown lately… hopefully he will be making the best of it.

It seems that the singer has finally completed his court-ordered Domestic Violence Class and was very quick to post his pride for the accomplishment on twitter. This is what Chris Brown wrote on the matter: “im done with class. i have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class. Boyz run from mistakes. Men learn from them!!!” Well, hopefully Chris Brown isn’t going to let the big strong man attitude get to his head too much… after all, that’s probably what got him in trouble in the first place. Still, it does seem that he is on a very steady streak for rebound with the rest of the world.
Apparently this is a lot easier said than done… but Rihanna seems to have made-up her mind with regards to talking about Chris Brown, especially when a fan tweeted and criticized her about doing it too much. This is what Rihanna replied on the matter: “AGREED! People won’t stop askin abt it! Its fuckin annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that! I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just makin me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!” Well, it seems like it’s still a pretty big story. That’s the risk you take when you go public with it all… maybe if Rihanna had kept it a bit more under wraps, it might not be such a problem now.

The 21-year old R&B singer’s video features some hot dance moves, catchy beats and a charming smile that can melt all the ladies’ hearts melt. I think I smell a comeback. Chris recently took to his Twitter, expressing his gratitude, saying “Thank you GOD for allowing me to inspire the world with the abilities you have given!!! And thanks for my wonderful fans. And not just sad, but a little angry too as it seems that stores aren’t really selling his new album, or so Chris Brown thinks. This is what he wrote on twitter: “im tired of this shit. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. What the fuck do i gotta do…WTF… yeah i said it and i aint retracting shit im not biting my tongue about shit else… the industry can kiss my ass” Actually, Chris Brown probably wants the industry to kiss his ass more than anything since that would probably solve his current issues. He just doesn’t know how to ask nicely.
Well, even though Chris Brown decided to lay low for a while and not look into the ladies, Rihanna seems to be at the top of her game as sources say she has recently been seen dating Tristan Wilds. One source related the following about Rihanna and the actor: “No one knew why Tristan was there initially, because it was not an industry party — it was very intimate. But everyone quickly realized they weren’t meeting for the first time, because they were openly affectionate for everyone to see…He’s a real gentleman. She likes him a lot, and it shows. From the moment he walked into her party, Rihanna lit up.” Well now… talk about seeking protection. Looks like Rihanna quickly got somebody to take care of her… you’d think she was the one that would play it slow. So, who damaged who again?
The chain of talks continues and what Rihanna has to say comes out more and more baffling than before. Apparently, she felt like Britney Spears after she got attacked by Chris Brown. This is how Rihanna explained it: “I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day.” She’s giving herself way too much credit… as far as media attention goes, it was pretty much an open and shut case. That picture of Rihanna that got on the internet did rouse a few extra sparks, but nothing serious. Look at Michael Jackson’s death: now that’s a media fiasco to live by!
The domestically-violent rapper has recently announced on his twitter web page that he will be going on a small tour… just for the fans. This is what Chris Brown wrote: “BOUT TO START A SMALL TOUR SOON.. 15 TO 20 DATES.. MY FAN APPRECIATION TOUR. just for yall.nothin bigger than 4,ooo seaters.” Oh, the modesty of it all! Just think! Only a maximum of 20 dates… only 4000 seats… Chris Brown really does seem to be taking his baby steps in getting back into business. And how thoughtful of him to do this for the fans… if he still has any more of those… that probably why the venues are so “small”.
Chris Brown started his community service, donning an orange and red baseball cap while cleaning up the roadside last Wednesday. The R&B singer even went on his Twitter before going to do the work saying “on my way to community service…”. We’ve gotten a clue as to how his days of hard labor go as according to authorities, “Brown begins his 8-hour work day at 8:00 AM when a Department of Corrections bus picks him up, along with 30-40 other offenders. Brown will wear a reflective orange vest and pick up trash and litter along highways and roads. He’ll also have to trim brush along medians, remove gang graffiti from the VCU campus, and wash the inside and outside of law enforcement vehicles.”
It looks like Jermaine Jackson has finally come to his senses. After Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige and Natalie Cole said that they had no plans on performing at the tribute concert for Michael Jackson in Vienna, the concert has now been postponed. Jermaine said “Numerous stars were just not able to change their schedules to make a live appearance at the Vienna event possible… therefore we decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to June 2010 – just a few weeks before the first anniversary of his untimely death.” He has no choice but to postpone considering he has no line up.
Apart from Chris Brown being sentenced to five years probation and six months of physical labor last Tuesday, a judge also gave a five-year restrictive order that would prevent the R&B singer from having any contact with Rihanna. After the order was imposed by the court, the Barbadian beauty’s attorney told reporters “There were no surprises this afternoon. Rihanna was advised of the plea agreement before it was entered. She did not object.” Her lawyer also said that “She’s doing fine, she’s pursuing her career. She’s tremendously appreciative that her family, friends and fans throughout the world have supported her.”
