Duffy has shifted a million copies of her debut album in just six weeks.

Rockferry has already gone double platinum in the UK and gold in a number of other European countries, too.

Remarkably, the milestone has been reached without a single sale in America.

The Welsh songbird’s Stateside assault begins next month when the CD gets its official release.

Meanwhile, Duffy has hit back at Estelle who blasted her credentials as a soul star. She insists she has never claimed to be any such thing.

Duffy explained: “I don’t wanna stand as a definition of soul music and I don’t think I ever will but there is influence of that in my music.”

James Rousseau Goes Into Music

Kate Bosworth’s boyfriend, British model James Rousseau is breaking into the music industry. The 27-year old has released his first song on the Internet called ‘To Make You Mine’. According to his MySpace page, “James is about to finish writing for his debut album, and will start recording in April this year.”

Little known facts on James are on Wikipedia and it says that he was also head chorister at Abberley Hall Preparatory School in Worcestershire. He also taught himself how to play guitar after becoming a reasonable clarinet and saxophone player. It looks like his music aspirations have some basis after all.
