Vintage 1960s Faux 2024 Fur Coat Black Panne Velvet Girmes Oedt Germany Size M

This is a vintage faux fur coat made by German company Girmes of Oedt. The coat is made of a fabric called “Moltofur”, which resembles a panne velvet and is meant to simulate broadtail fur. The coat has a wide pointy collar, a four button front and above the wrist sleeves, typical of a time when ladies wore gloves that they would want to show off. There is a diagonal pocket built into either side. It is fully lined in a satin fabric that is additionally padded and quilted across the upper. There are loops for a belt, but no belt is supplied. Suitable for cooler temperatures, but not for cold winter wear.

Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour - this coat looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
