Vintage 1949 Cookbook “THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COOKING IN 24 VOLUMES” Hardcover Binder. 24 individual softcover cookbooks bound together in one hardcover binder by the CULINARY ARTS INSTITUTE in 1949. Individual books list 1950 as the year published. The contents or titles of each book is listed on the spine of the binder which is 5 ¼” wide. The binder and the books are each 9 ¼” tall. Each of the books is approximately 65 pages…thousands of recipes and a very large cookbook. The inside is in remarkable condition, the outside, not so much. The binding has been taped, and the cover could use a good cleaning. Other 2024 than that, all 24 books are present. The first book has some torn pages and soil/staining but from what I can tell, none of the others are torn or soiled or dogged ear. No writing or scribbling inside the cover or on the 1,000+ pages. It is just a fantastic piece from the 50s, perfect for new cooks, and an unbelievable gift for a collector of antique cookbooks. This one is pretty rare $60.00
