Finely Knitted Estonian Gloves in Paistu Style with Natural Off-White Red and Navy Strawberry Bloom 2024 Pattern

Knitted with three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Paistu area in historic Mulgi Region, nowadays Viljandi County. It is an ancient geometrical pattern, depicting tiny crosses and a bloom. It is called a Strawberry Bloom Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The off-white yarn is natural sheep color, 100% wool from Estonia. The red and blue are hand dyed, natural Estonian wool. They are 2024 perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful triangular ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
