ANTIQUE MARUTOMO WARE HONEY POT (with a replacement lid!)

A highly collectable Japanese Marutomo Ware bee skep cottage honey pot. The lid is not original to the pot and would have been a jam pot lid! The original lid would have been a roof shape. Printed in brown on the base 'Marutomo Ware, Ⓣ, Hand Painted, Japan' and impressed 'Made in Japan'. The pot comes with a 1920's silver plated teaspoon.

Condition: Has some hairline cracks, marks internally. Not the original lid. No 2024 chips.
