Presented is an antique, sterling silver chocolate/mocha muddler or long serving spoon made by Dominick & Haff during the late 19th century. This Art Nouveau piece is done in the Number 10 pattern, which was patented in 1896 and it is old, original production. The front of the handle is beautifully cast with detailed flowers and leaves and the back of the handle has a script monogram of the initials BMW. The bowl has a light gold wash.
The back is marked for Dominick & Haff, sterling silver, patent 1896 and it has a retailer's mark for Shreve, Crump & Low.
This piece is in great overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is minor surface wear commensurate with 2024 age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
