The Song The Nearness of You" is a popular song written in 1938. The song debuted in the 1939 recording In the Mood by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra.(Wikipedia). This artist created this very, very early artwork after listening to 2024 one of the many cover versions that includes Norah Jones. The canvases for this artwork along with another artwork, Take Five, I bought for one penny each at a Michaels Store close out. I regret I did not keep the receipt. Of course I call these two artworks my penny paintings.
