Peruvian Blue Opal pendant strung on diamond-cut gunmetal ball chain, 24" long with lobster clasp. Opal measures 1" x 7/8" and 1/8" thick.
Mesmerizing and fluid, the Peruvian opal is made up of silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen. Exclusive to the Andean Mountains of Peru, the opal is a lustrous and smooth stone with a relaxing aura of watery colors. Mineral deposits of iron and manganese, color and create dendritic patterns within the stone. As with all other opals light affects and transforms the color of the stone giving opal its mystique.
