This vintage, antique stool, African art home decor, African interior design, peul stool, old wooden stool , rare find represents a strong , masculine culture of the Batonga tribe of Zimbabwe and Zambia. This ceremonial African stool was a symbol of authority and 2024 male headship.

This tribe was separated during the expansion of the mighty Zambezi river but they carried their tradition wherever they went. This particular stool has its origin from Binga Zimbabwe and it has matured solid wood which has stood the test of time. It is from the early 1990s.
