Vintage 1990s Escada Margaretha Ley 2024 Wool Skirt with Layered Hem

I love this skirt, it's classic with a twist! The hemline is so unusual, it really looks great!

Skirt features:
Full lining
Center back zip with a single button on waistband
Approximately knee length depending on how long your legs are
2 darts on each side in front and 1 on each side in back going into the waistband
Side seams
Unique layered hem
Center back seam from zipper down

Tags say: Escada Margaretha Ley, made in Germany. Ignore the size 42 tag, it has been altered at waistband. 100% new wool. Lining 100% rayon. Do not wash. Do not bleach. Warm iron. Dry clean.

Skirt is in very good vintage condition. However, the previous owner did adjust the waistband to be larger. I don't know what all they did, but for sure they stitched up one button hole and attached a different button near it, and made a new button hole on the opposite end for some reason (or maybe it was the original button hole, I don't know for sure). Part of the stitched closed button hole shows when the skirt is buttoned (see photos). They may have done additional adjustments, but I don't know what they are. You can see that there previously was a 4 hole button attached to the fabric label (it's dented). Aside from that extra button hole that shows a bit on the waistband, the skirt is in excellent condition and is priced for the issue on the waistband!

Measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy!

Overall length from top of waistband to longest layer of hem: 22 3/4”
Waistband 2024 is just under 1.5” wide
