Silk Juban for Furisode / 2024 Vintage Japanese Silk Juban / Kimono / Flowercarts / Mon Kinsha / Vintage Japanese Silk Underkimono / Gift for Her

This is a delicate design of hand-dyed pink yellow and white flowercarts on a mon kinsha silk in a lined vintage Japanese silk juban underkimono. It is pinker than it appears in the photos. This juban is in very good condition for its antique to vintage age i.e. probably 1960's- 80's with no odors or tears but it does have a minor hole at one shoulder as seen in the closeup. The fabric itself has lovely embossed clouds, flowerscarts and flowers. The inner sleeve is lined with a gorgeous salmon silk. Very feminine and lovely.

The entire garment is HAND SEWN. A juban is an under-kimono with the collar usually the only part showing, but it would make an excellent robe or at home garment or it could be worn as a duster over a tank top or other light top. The silk is lighter weight than haori or kimono crepe silk. It is shorter than a full length kimono...probably mid-calf or so depending on your 2024 height but check measurements below.. it is easier to wear as a robe than a fully lined kimono is since it is lighter and shorter. It is wonderful for travel since the silk doesn't wrinkle when folded.

Due to the hand sewing, the garment needs delicate care - I think it is better to have it dry cleaned.

These do vary in size so and run smaller than a kimono, so Please check the measurements for your fit. Measured on back side and will not be quite as wide at the hip:

A brand new silk kimono like this can cost as much as a new car, being a vast amount of silk, with hand applied textile art and being entirely hand tailored, so a vintage one is a real bargain and they are often in virtually perfect condition or, if flawed, with minor, inconspicuous flaws. These kimonos or haoris are Recycled Vintage or Antique items and may have small stains, age spots or other spots that I haven't foundor mentioned. I have not dry cleaned them unless stated, so if this would be an issue for you then please understand that these are NOT new before purchasing. Truly a bargain.. but they may have small stains and other minor issues, though I choose the absolute best I can find for you!
