The cufflinks are made using mint Italian coins which feature the vitruvian man which was drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci, and would make a perfect wedding gift as coins are a symbol of good luck long associated with wedding ceremony as a sign of good luck.

Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man, a man of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination".He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.

The Vitruvian Man is a world-renowned drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci around the year 1487. The drawing, which is in pen and ink on paper, depicts a male figure in two superimposed positions with his arms and legs apart and simultaneously inscribed in a circle and square.

The drawing is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius in Book III of his treatise De Architectura. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the Classical orders of architecture.

These very special 2024 and unique cufflinks are made using two Italian 1 Euro uncirculated coins which have perfect definition. Both sides of the coins show the Vitruvian Man which was drawn by the Italian genius.

For anyone with a love of Italy or Da Vinci they would make a very unique gift. Handmade.

The cufflinks come in a silver cufflinks presentation box.

Cufflinks shipped worldwide.

** We only use mint coins when making these cufflinks, fresh from a bank roll. They coins have never been in public circulation, have perfect definition and for that reason are very rare.
