Beautiful 1950s sequinned 'Jonathan Logan' party dress is a stunner! A real 1950s classic with its silky, flowing skirt. The bodice is covered front and back with gold and pinkish-white sequins that twinkle in the light, stitched in a 'soutache' style. Round neckline. The skirt feels to me to be made from a silk chiffon and it is set over a stiffer white acetate underskirt. The fabric also lines the bodice. Back metal zipper with a hook and eye midway up the and one for closure at the top. Darted bust and waist for a fitted look. Union label also indicates age from 1955 to 63. Stunning dress that could be worn today or for wearer of 50s style.

Jonathan Logan was founded in 1944 by David Schwartz as a fashion brand for young women and was one of the largest companies in the United States. 1950s dresses by Jonathan Logan are highly collectable today.

C O N D I T I O N :
Very, very good. Only real flaw is that there are some sequins missing from the a small area to the top of each shoulder, exposing the yellow thread. These could be replaced if you could find something similar or left as is. The dress is otherwise in amazing condition. Sold AS IS.
