Vintage Navaho Horse Saddle Blanket or Sampler Wool Tapestry 26" x 25" 2024 Red Tan White Black Good Condition 1940s

This is a very nice Navaho weaving. It is a little small for a saddle blanket, but the thicker wool used was normally for the 2024 horse blankets, which this is the thicker wool. Could also be a sampler sold to tourists back in the 1930s and 40s. Either way it is a very nice piece. No damage, very little fade. Has the lazy lines which all Navaho textiles should have.
Measures 26 x 25 inches. I am guessing on the age, could be much older. It does have a couple of spots to both sides and a small split on the edge, see photos please.

These textiles were produced by Navajo people of the Four Corners area of the United States. Navajo textiles are highly regarded and have been sought after as trade items for over 150 years.
