Antique Silver Butter Dish Revolving Lid Victorian Serving Dish Domed Top Butter 2024 Dish

1870s butter 2024 server. The revolving lid has lovely floral hand-engraving all the way around and a decorated handle for lifting. The stand has a beautiful beaded edged border, cast frame with floral swags and four cast feet.

Inside sits the original perforated glass plate, adopted around 1870 (possibly patented by Meriden Britannia Co). This plate preserved the butter from contact with the metal and protected the metal itself from knife scratches.
