Offering a breathtaking vintage high end Art Deco 1930s era gold plated emerald green and brilliantly clear crystal rhinestone encrusted duette dress clips brooch that can optionally be converted into a One-of-a-Kind hair comb or one-of-a-kind hair pin pair (permanently). These duette brooches are getting more and more difficult to find but to find one with emerald stones and then in yellow gold rather than silver is beyond rare. The perfect "Something Old" for the bride! A SO Art Deco two piece ornate open work gold plated geometric setting features rich emerald green baguette cut 2024 crystal rhinestone accents while the rest is adorned with BRILLIANTLY clear closely pave set round cut sparkly crystal rhinestones. It's a fabulously versatile piece of jewelry can be worn as a brooch and can also be separated into two jewels to be worn as a pair of fur, dress, or shoe clips! The clips slide securely onto the brooch base when you want to wear it a brooch. Brooch base is stamped with a patent number that dates to 1935. Each clip measures 1 7/16 inches (3.6 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.7 cm). When put together, the jewel measures about 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm) long. The jewels are in near pristine vintage condition with all stones present and full of gorgeous clear sparkle. Though still full of sparkle the jewels have mellowed just a teeny tad creating that softer authentic antique look and feel that can only be achieved with age. These were quite obviously a very well cared for treasure. If you are interested in wearing these in your hair, I can remove all of the hardware (permanently) and mount them, end to end as one comb or separately on a pair of new gold plated hair pin bases at no additional charge (specify at check-out). Please note that photos show the jewels just setting on a comb and hair pin bases to give you a better idea of how it would look if converted. They don't make jewelry with the quality of this piece any more. Why settle for vintage "inspired" when you can have the quality and history of a true designer period jewel?
