Original Mixed Media - Lotus Flowers - Prismacolor Pencils - Paint Pens - Pen - Paper 2024

2024 This is an ORIGINAL, signed work of mixed media, collage-style art featuring stylized lotus-inspired flowers. It is unframed and measures 8" x 10", which is a standard size.

Each part of this artwork was created completely by hand, and I'd love to share a little about the process used. First, I created the background image using a black paint pen. Then, the background image was cut out and glued to a piece of heavy black paper. I created two lotus flowers using colored paper, Prismacolor pencils, a white gel pen, and gold metallic paint. I glued the lotus flowers over the background image to create distinct layers. Finally, all the finishing details were added with colored paint pens and white gel pen. Creating the swirling white background art is my favorite part!
