Rose Marie Warzée: 'Mini Nana Colorful' - Modern Art - Steel - Belgium - 1990-1999
Rare steel sculpture of a faceless silhouette by the Belgian artist Rose Marie Wanzée, the so-called Mini Nana Colorful. Signed by the artist on the base and marked at the bottom.
Belgian visual artist Rose Marie Wanzée was born in 1959 and graduated in decorative arts and screen printing (Sainte Marie Brussels). She shared her life between Belgium and Africa from 1983 to 1999 where she taught drawing (many exhibitions Zaire, Ivory Coast, Congo). In 2000 she moved to Belgium, opened her "Atelier-Galerie" and exhibited regularly. A number of her works, which are known to the general public, have been acquired by private collectors and by Belgian public collections.
As a contemporary painter and sculptor, she shows unlimited creativity. She uses acrylic paint for her paintings. She made cardboard models and then had her steel sculptures cut with a laser.
The Mini Nana Colorful is cut from steel in this way and then metallized and polychromed, with a beautiful slim shape, reminiscent of an elegant faceless silhouette.
An exceptional sculpture by an exceptional artist!
