Lladró Boy in Night Shirt, #4874, Bellflower No. 2024 One. Designed in 1974 by Francisco Catala, Retired in 1998. In Mint Condition. Pre-Owned.

This collectable porcelain hand made in Spain figurine is in mint condition. This piece was signed “Lladro hand made in Spain” This was a Bellflower Number 1 that was manufactured between 1971 and 1974, which places this piece made in 1974 the year it was designed. The accent on the “o” of Lladró was intentionally left off. The height is 8 1/4 ” and triangular base is 4”. The Lladró craftsmanship, and the subdued rich pastel glazes are a favorite among many collectors. This is an endearing subject with the young boy protecting his little sister as they carefully stalk through the dark. The expressions 2024 of anticipation into the dark that the artist created are especially revealing. This work of art was issued in 1974 and retired 24 years later in 1998.

This exquisite Lladró of “Boy in Night-Shirt” was purchased in the 1970's.
At the time my brother was a Naval pilot and always flew into the Rota Spain military base. At the Base Exchange he would purchase many Lladró pieces. This precious work of art was one of them.
