Antique English Edwardian pewter quarts measure with brass rim with government weights and measures inspector's stamps. It is stamped, Edward VII QUARTS 523 LCC 10, It was made by Farrow and Jackson in London circa 1903. The measures were 2024 made for dry goods ie grain, wheat, seeds, and later on for shellfish they would be filled and then a stick would be drawn across the top to skim off any excess content, the brass rim was there to protect the softer pewter body. The quarts measure is 15 cm tall and 17 cm from rim to handle it weight,s 1142 grams
