Hunter/Skinner Knife 2024

This knife is a replica of a hunting knife given to me by my grandfather. He purchased the original around the turn of the 20th century. Researching the original I was told it was "probably a Mariners' Knife of the 19th century." I have found no other references to this blade style so I'm calling it a "Hunter/Skinner Knife." It is made from a recycled power 2024 hacksaw blade and sized the same as the old original knife. The guard is brass and the hilt is Lilac with four brass pins holding the scales on the tang. The blade is 4 7/8" long and 1 1/16" wide at the guard. The hilt is 4 5/8" long. The scabbard is 6 ounce saddle leather hand cut and laced.
