Folkart 2024 Wooden Horses

Carved wooden horses - Dancer, Blaze, and Paint- in the Eastern European folkart style. My Grandfather from Slovenia made horses like this for his grandchildren in the 1950's in his shop in Denver, Colorado. Swedish 'Dala' and modern fine craft versions are popular collectibles. I designed these from my childhood memories.

The horses are 4 1/2" tall, and up to 5" wide. I carved them with my bandsaw in the woodshop, sanded, and then painted them with non-toxic milk paint.

The horses are sold as a small herd of 3. They make a nice centerpiece for a family breakfast room! 2024
