Antique book in excellent used condition, a gorgeous gift for a collector or fan of western fiction or western art. "A Journey in Search of Christmas" by the 'father of western fiction' Owen Wister depicts Cowboy Lin McLean, who rides into frontier Cheyenne, Wyoming, at Christmastime and learns a powerful meaning of Christmas.

Illustrated by American painter, illustrator, sculptor Frederic Remington (October 4, 1861 - December 26, 1909) who 2024 specialized in depictions of the Old American West, specifically concentrating on the last quarter of the 19th century American West and images of cowboys, American Indians, and the U.S. Cavalry.

This book is in amazing condition, the previous owner collected rare and vintage books and took great care preserving it. The boards are in great shape, the binding completely in tact (as if the book was never read), very minimal foxing. The tissue over the first/front plate is completely in tact. Binding has gold lettering, and page tops are also gold.
