2024 We are pleased to launch our handmade salmon / sea trout gye net sling / strap. We have used the very best materials and components and as with all our products, guarantee it will last a lifetime.
The leather is lovely hard wearing waxy brown 19 mm wide strap. It ages really nicely and has a rustic yet high quality feel. The bottom edges of the leather are burnished to a nice rounded finish so it sits as comfortably against the body as possible. We have added a generous number of belt holes so it should fit most anglers and we've included a leather loop to secure any loose belt if the sling is being worn tightly, or is on a smaller person.
The ring is stainless steel and has an inside diameter of 25 mm an an outside diameter of 33 mm which fits most gye nets on the market such as the Sharpe's gye net range (salmon, sea trout, trout, teardrop etc) and others. If you need a different size ring for any reason just let us know in the order notes as we will make one for your specification at no extra cost.
The popper for the net release is the best quality and toughest you can find and we have opted for traditional solid copper rivets which are the most secure and hard wearing type for leather work. They also look lovely. The buckle is very high quality solid brass.
The sling weighs 158 grams.
