Red stoles are traditionally worn on Pentecost Sunday (in the spring), and often for special events in the life of the church like ordinations and installations.
This distinctive red stole features bunches 2024 of red roses with greenery on a black and gray background. It is especially dramatic when worn with a black robe -- the roses seem to float by themselves. It is also dramatic on light colored robe or alb.
The reverse has a white background with roses outlined in red..
Red fringe complements both fabrics.
This clergy stole is ready to ship. It measures about 48" from the back of the neck to the bottom of the fringe and is approximately 4" wide. The neck is curved and slightly narrowed so that it fits neatly.
All my stoles are carefully tailored from 100% cotton with firm interfacing (the same kind found in expensive jackets and coats) so that they hang straight and hold their shape. They are fully reversible -- with no tags or labels to get in the way.
