A large hardcover folder book is this wonderful antique collection of 24 music partitions for song from the 1800s (according to the handwritten contents page). Almost 300 sides of music. The sections throughout the book are introduced with inserted booklet covers specific to that particular movement and each page seems to have been numbered in ink, probably at the time of compilation so these are now quite smudged and faded. You may find some small annotations, signatures and stamps throughout.

The pages in this booklet are aged and have taken on a deep yellowish hue throughout but if you look carefully, despite the wear one can make out that each and every page was originally impressed with a lovely rounded inner border. The paper is good quality, seems to be un-treated and quite absorbent.

CONDITION :
Antique. There is some wear to the hardcover (spine edges, corners etc). There are numerous hand-written pencil notes throughout the pieces. The pages are yellowed from age with some marks/blotches - all commensurate with age and use. Overall a magnificent collectible music book.
