Checkers, or draughts as it is known worldwide, is a group of strategy board games for two players which involve diagonal moves of uniform game pieces and mandatory captures by jumping over opponent pieces. The name 'draughts' derives from the verb to draw or to move, whereas 'checkers' derives from the checkered board which the game is played on.

This checkers set is made of black and Beige marble. The black marble design is royal black. This stone had a dark, natural color with lights quartz and calcite coursing through. The beige marble is coral. The black marble continues into the border. The pieces have a simplistic, yet elegant design. The board is 12”. The set comes with a blue velvet case to individual hold each piece.

How to Play?
Checkers is played by two opponents, on opposite sides of the game board. One player has dark pieces; the other has light pieces. A move consists of diagonally moving a piece to an adjacent unoccupied square. If the adjacent square contains an opponent's piece, and the square immediately beyond it is vacant, the piece may be jumped, or captured, and removed from the game.
