Here is a wonderful antique porcelain head doll, probably from the late 1800s to early 1900s period.
This amazing larger sized doll has a cloth body, arms and legs all soft and sawdust stuffed, large four and a half inches head and torso, painted face with blonde painted hair. Comes with various clothes including a blue sailor style jacket and striped trousers, black little socks (stitched on) I think these were all added later. In very good condition for its age, the porcelain is all in brilliant condition, the cloth body has slightly grubby hands and some light marks, it looks to me as if the porcelain head may be older than the body and clothes. Please see all the photos as they are a true representation of the condition. A brilliant find for a collector.
