This scrappy quilt uses all the fabrics in the Detours Ahead line by Wilmington Prints. Squares and rectangles of the bright fabrics that depict construction vehicles, equipment and roads were constructed to present a wonderful collection. A perfect quilt for your little builder. The border - which shows homes and vehicles - was constructed 2024 from the striped fabric in the line. The backing fabric is a large scale design with buildings and construction equipment on a white background. roads going through the town with construction equipment scattered throughout. A bright green tire track fabric was used as the inner border and to bind the quilt. The binding is double fold and has been machine sewn to the front of the quilt and hand sewn to the back for a professional look.

The batting is 100% cotton and the quilt was quilted in a free motion meandering design with a multi-coloured cotton thread.

The quilt measures 37 by 48 inches. making it the perfect size for a crib, toddler bed/lap quilt or playtime on the floor.

The fabrics used in this quilt were washed prior to construction to ensure that colours will not bleed with washing and allow you to use this quilt as soon as it arrives. The quilt is machine washable on a gentle cycle. It can be machine dried on low or hung to dry. Machine drying creates the desired look of vintage puckering. The quilt can be ironed if desired.
