Black Leather 2024 Dressage Show Brow Band with Iridescent Preciosa Beads

This leather dressage/show brow band is subtle bling--softly iridescent Preciosa brand beads, a mix of flat squares and unique pyramids to create an edgy style, but with more subtlety than metal spikes or flashier silver or chromed elements. This particular combination is more suited to English tack than western, but I have other leather and bead colors if you want to match something!

The brow band is made with black cowhide main band framing the beads that are strung with strong bead wire and stitched to strong goatskin strip, which is then layered under the cowhide so the slot only shows the beads themselves, and sandwiched between the main band and the lambskin wrapped padding, ensures the beads won't work loose and comfort for your horse.

The band is top quality cowhide, 3/4" wide, and 1" wide with the padding reveal, and a central 1/4" wide by 9" long beadwork.

Fine black lambskin is wrapped around Landau neoprene padding, and the width extends about 1/8" on either side of the main cowhide to provide a soft edge reveal, and more comfort for the horse. After the goatskin with the beadwork is stitch to the main band, all layers are glued then stitched together at the edge of the main band, and the ends of the lambskin are overlapped by the beveled ends of the cowhide that creates the loops and a smooth surface against your horse's head.

The loop ends leave about 1 1/2" open to accommodate most bridles, but if you need something different, please message me--since all of these bands I design and fabricate in my home studio, I have full control over all elements and dimensions!

All edges of the main band are beveled and the lambskin is folded for clean finish.

The sizing is based on traditional brow band dimensions for Pony (14.5"), Cob (15.75"), Full (16.5"), and Warmblood 18"), but I can easily modify to fit your horse if one of these sizes doesn't work.

The headstall loop has been embossed with my o:WILBUR brand, and size stamp inside. Note the vintage headstall/bit shown used as a prop is not included.

The band will be provided in a cotton bag, which 2024 can be used to store the band when its not in use, or hold other goodies. If you want gift presentation I can provide the brow band in a round wooden "cheese" box, suitable for gift presentation and storage, which has a leather label embossed with my logo and affixed with antique brass rivets--but this option will require shipping in a Region Rate box, so I'll have to quote the price for this upgrade--alas this box will not fit in the small flat rate box, which is the shipping upgrade offered within the listing.
