2024 Fabric content—unless otherwise stated, material is cotton or a cotton/poly blend, and battings are polyester.
STRINGS- While I try to clip all stings, I have been known to miss some. If you see one, DO NOT PULL IT. CLIP IT OFF CLOSE TO FABRIC.
This item is not perfect, nor is any item I have ever made! In all my years of sewing (60 +) I have never successfully made a perfect item, no matter how hard I tried. The reasons for this are varied, but it was never
that I did not strive for perfection. The hours spent shopping, coordinating colors, cutting, sewing, undoing stitches, ironing, pinning, are not represented in the cost of this item. For the most part, at this stage of my life, I am trying to spend my hours doing what I love and reducing the amounts of fabrics, that my son will need to deal with when I can no longer sew. The price on this item for the most part is slightly above cost of the elements that were needed to make the item. Please know that I made your item with the same love and care that I have made items for my family and friends. I also donate 1 item for every item I make, these go to hospitals, nursing homes, church charities.
Sizes: Most of my quilts are “throw” size. And are made to hang over back of chair or couch for the times when you want a nap or feel a chill. The size of my throws is based on the design. After several questions about bed/quilt sizes, I have added this section. It is a list of mattress sizes. Since I always list measurements of my quilts, you can quickly see if an item suits your needs and how much overhang there would be. I hope this helps you both with my quilts and when you look at other items you might purchase.
Crib/toddler-27”x51”, Twin-39”x75”, Full-54”x75”, Queen-60”x80”, King-76”x80” anything over mattress size would be overhang. EXAMPLE: a quilt that is 60”x80” would cover a twin with a little over 10” overhang on both sides and 5” at bottom. Same quilt on a full mattress would have 3” overhang on sides and 5” at bottom. Same quilt on a queen mattress would cover just the top. Hope this helps, but you can contact me if you have questions.
