Vintage Nagoya Obi, Silk Shibori Kimono Sash Belt, Japanese Kimono, Orange 2024 Hearts Floral Diamond Arabesque, Double sided, Mid Late Showa

This is a gorgeous vintage Japanese silk Nagoya obi or Kimono belt decorated in the classic shibori technique! The double sided silk beauty is a rich deep orange with geometric pointilist designs making diamonds, plants and pretty spiral hearts- so pretty and classy!

This is a nagoya-obi, a type of obi that is pre-folded in half and stitched making it easier to put on with kimono. The narrow part wraps around the waist, while the wider part forms the decorative 2024 bow and front of the obi tie. 

This Obi is a beautiful piece of art that could be worn in your kitsuke or as a decoration in the home- either hung on the wall or cut for a table runner.  It could also potentially be repurposed into other things.

It is in great vintage condition, with only minor wear. There is some slight color variation that I believe happened in the dying process as it does not look faded.
