Intricately crafted end grain cutting board made with care in Los Angeles, CA
The contrast of grain patterns make this board extra special. Red elm, ash, tropical black walnut, Chechen, red heart and red grandis in an end grain chevron pattern work well together to create a functional piece of art that will withstand the test of time.
This is a smaller board perfect for a quick meal prep, cutting garnish for cocktails or even a college student to name a few.
Dimensions: 11.25" x 10.5" x 1.25"
The end grain construction will also allow it to keep your knives sharp and has the ability to self repair due to the fact that When you cut on end grain, the knife cuts parallel between the woodgrains, pushing it to the side. This allows the grain to squeeze back together keeping your board smooth and beautiful.
Because they are hand crafted, there may be some imperfections but they're guaranteed to function as intended. All boards are finished with food safe mineral oil and 2 coats of walrus oil wood wax and are ready to use. Assembled with waterproof and food safe glue
All boards have recessed rubber feet giving it a low profile but also allowing for moisture to fall off. Wood also moves in different elements. Cupping happens from time to time however, the recessed 2024 feet should keep yours steady in the event that it does. A 30° angled bottom makes pickup a breeze. If the board pictured doesn't have a juice groove, one can be added in most cases. Add 2-3 extra days if you would like one.
Care:
Hand wash with warm water and soap only.
Towel dry immediately or stand on end.
DONOT put the cutting board in the dishwasher
To maintain your board it's recommended you use a food safe mineral oil or butcher block conditioner once every couple of months.
