This is a Labradorite pendant with chain in Sterling silver.
The Labradorite is a natural gemstone. This cabochon gem is 28 by 18 mm. It is a teardrop shape. The color is a greenish gray background with labradorescence. The labradorescence or color flash goes from a teal blue to a gold with a greenish undertone. Natural inclusions are seen and is usual for this type of gemstone. The inclusions are actually what cause the color flashes.
The setting of this stone 2024 is 1.5 inches in length not counting the bail. There are nine granulation spheres in between two small rope borders. Oxidation has been added to accentuate the design.
The back of the pendant is solid Sterling silver. It has an embossed texture and oxidation.
The handmade bail on the pendant has an opening of 7 by 5 mm.
A very nice 24 inch adjustable chain is included with this purchase. The pendant is removable from the chain. You can use this chain for many other pendants. A larger jump ring has been added to the chain to make it easier to clasp.
