Cardinal Barn Quilt 2024

This cardinal sitting on a branch is inspired by barn quilts one sees when driving through the country. Many people believe the sighting of a cardinal can be a sign of good luck, loyalty, or even a spiritual message. Native 2024 American lore states if a cardinal is seen, it is believed that individual will have good luck within 12 days of the sighting! This piece is constructed using the Tiffany style of copper foil and solder. It has two different shades of red, is framed in zinc and finished with a black patina to make the colors pop.
