Haiti Painting Tropical Birds 16"x11 3/4" Hand Painted Black Artist Odvel Paul Haitian Folk Art Naive Outsider Parrots Painting (PO633)

This signed Haitian painting is of two large tropical birds. Original hand painted folk art painting from the Artibonite Valley in Haiti measures 16" by 11 3/4" and was hand painted by Odvel Paul. The setting is a bright blue and green background with a variety of jungle plants. Birds look like parrots. There is incredible detailing in each of the birds highlighting their feathers and coloring. Please check close up photos of the painting. Painting was painted on a primed piece of canvas with acrylic paints. There is a large painted white border around the painting. Signed in the lower right.

All of the art in our shop is hand made by artists that we know in the Artibonite Valley in Haiti. This remote region does not have a venue to sell its art, so we bring paintings and other arts and crafts back to our home in Connecticut where people have the opportunity to enjoy the talent of these artists in Haiti. We have opened this Etsy shop with the hopes of selling even more of the artists' works to folks around the country and the globe. All proceeds (100% of your purchase price) go directly to the artists. For many of them, this is their sole 2024 occupation and this income provides for them and their families.
