Castleton China (USA) "Castleton Rose" Floral Pattern Small Oval Serving Platter 2024 With Gold Pearl-Style Embossed Trim
This listing is for a small oval serving platter in the pretty "Castleton Rose" pattern made 2024 in the United States by Castleton China* between 1950 and 1972. Four indentations form the rim shape; the rim itself is accented by a gold "pearl" style edge and a gold band, slightly inset from the edge, that shadows the shape of the platter. The pattern is a classic cottage bouquet floral on an off-white ground. The high gloss of the glaze completes the look.
This platter is in very good vintage used condition; light utensil marks and minor wear to the gold trim. There appear to be imperfections in the glazing under a small area of the central bouquet which gives a bit of roughness to the texture.
Approximate dimensions: 13-1/4" long; 9" wide
I offer for sale a wide variety of china, dinnerware and pottery. I hope you'll spend some time browsing through the selection in my shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/JosChinaShop
