I like to start with 2-4 good photos of your pet that represent their personality. The pictures you send do not have to be professional 2024 grade but it is helpful if they show your pets face clearly. If your pet normally does not have fur in his/her eyes then make sure you can clearly see their eyes in the picture. There is something true to the saying you can see someone's soul through their eyes. A good shot directly across from a seated pet makes for a great regal look. For something more intimate, a shot with your pet looking up to you naturally works well.

I can add another pet to a painting for a small fee. It is not necessary to have a picture with all the pets together, I can combine multiple photos into one painting.

The canvas I use is a gallery style canvas. Gallery style is 1.5” deep and does not need to be framed. I offer UV coating in matte or gloss finish to protect the painting from direct sunlight for decades to come.

I will email you in various stages of the process so we can discuss its progress. If you would like anything changed or tweaked this is a great time to talk about it. The background may not be the most important part of a painting, but thinking about where you are hanging it or the person you are giving it to is helpful. Sometimes slightly changing the colors in the background will make the painting shine more in it's intended surroundings. Normally a painting takes 1 week start to finish. If you have a rushed time table please let me know so I can work it out.


Once you approve your painting I will ship it US Postal or with the carrier of your choice. When you are emailed a photo of your finished painting if you do not love it, i will refund you your money and donate the painting to a local animal charity.


Pets are family members that will never judge us, and friends who are always there to listen. A patron once told me that after her cat had passed she looked at the painting I had made every day and it made her smile. I can't imagine what more I could want from my work.
