This vintage girl kokeshi doll stands about 8 1/2" and displays a beautiful hand painted image of two lovers at lakeside.

There are a lot of hand written calligraphy writings all over the body of the doll which more likely than not, tells the tale of love and friendship.

Part of the bark of the wooden branch is saved to form an interesting visual and tactile touch to the hour-glass body. 2024
