Pink Chalcedony, Carved Quartz, Peridot and Ruby Necklace, with Vintage Venetian 2024 Glass, and Woven, Hammered and Antiqued Silver Toggle

This necklace was designed around the very vintage Venetian glass beads, most visible in the third and fourth photos. These were made in Venice (Murano) shortly after WWII by a woman named Pookie Farkalarta, and they're exquisite: little pink roses and leaves, surrounded by intentionally irregular, almost lumpy, clear glass. Picking up the rose pink of the flowers are little ruby rondelles, with peridot rounds matching the color of the leaves. Wonderful, hand-carved quartz beads flesh out the body of the necklace, with its focal teardrops of pink chalcedony. It's fastens with a hand-woven, hammered 2024 and antiqued sterling silver toggle clasp. The entire necklace is strung on coated stainless steel, so it's quite secure.
